Funktastik moments
The last couple of weeks where a bit silent for the crew.
Everyone has been doing there own things, be it private or bboy related.
Some practiced hard in the lab', others crafted their skills far outside breaking.
A bunch of the crew did the qualifier at Unbreakable, gave workshops, or did performances.
At the 7th of april they performed at an Art contest in Tienen.
Taking home the 1st place at the category "Dance" was a big achievement !!

Busy Times !!!!
It has been busy times for the Funktastix in last few months.
At the Start of 2012 we had a Flashmob for an opening in a local, global, supermarkt called "Carrefour".
Breaking between fruits and vegetables when a few 300, all suit up and attending for serious business, people least expect it !!!
We had a great time, delivered a fine atmosphere and most of all.. the crowd loved us !!
Big up to my Tribe for bringing their vibe, we will be there for another one.
Friday 10th February the Funktastix held their first battle.
First time doing it, not knowing what to expect (and maybe what to do?) we made it a succes!!
Thanks to a Youthcouncil we had an awesome location, a little budget and alot of trust.
The point of this jam was bringing it back to the kidz and they did.
In a workshop once given by Poe 1, I do believe we should give it back to the age group where it all started.
We brought the concept "Kidz taking back Hip Hop" alive that night, or must I say, the young bboys did the most part.
That night we saw raw cyphers by bboys all over Town and beyond.
The beauty is none of it is caught on tape, we only have our words to translate and the mind to reproduce the image.
Next time we'll be back with another jam, better, bigger, cyphers, open mic and maybe this time YOU'll be attending?
At the video below is the clip of the final battle, enjoy !!
